It's Time to Celebrate Homecoming!
Homecoming is a time honored tradition at Mankato West, celebrating the spirit, pride, and community that define our school. It's a time when hundreds of alumni return to reconnect with old friends and relive memories, joining current students, staff, and families in celebrating all things Scarlets. From the Coronation to the football game, Homecoming unites us all, reminding us of our shared history and the vibrant culture that continues to thrive at Mankato West. It’s more than just a week—it’s a tradition that brings the Scarlet community together, generation after generation.
Monday, September 23
We kick off Homecoming Week with Pajama Day! All students who dress up should report to the Spirit Shack in the cafeteria to earn points toward their class. We will run an extended Scarlet Time schedule to do door decorating. The door that wins will get donuts on Friday. Monday night at 6:30 we have our Dodgeball Tournament in the gym. We encourage students to gather their friends, choose a team (including a name for the team and some teams decide to have "uniforms" or costumes), register your team using this form, and pay the $5 team registration fee to Ms. Baker. The top two teams will play a championship round on Friday afternoon to earn the right to play the staff team.
Tuesday, September 24
Dress up day is Soccer Mom/BBQ Dad. We will again run an extended Scarlet Time schedule for door decorating. Get out and cheer on our Scarlets at the Cross Country meet at Benson Park at 3:45pm and our Girls Tennis Team at West at 4:45pm.
Our Homecoming Court and Pepband will be walking the halls at DMMS at 9:00am, and the Court will also be walking the halls of participating elementary schools after 10:00am.

Congratulations to our Choir and Ms. Baker. They are rock stars!
