As we continue into the second six weeks of our school year, I just wanted to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU for all your support during the first six weeks! Your involvement has truly made our classrooms a special place for the kids.
It’s been such a joy getting to know your children and watching them grow and shine. I can’t wait to see what this next phase holds for us, and I’m excited to continue this journey together!

Academic Update
Where Are You Going Wednesday
Accelerated Reader (Grades 1st-5th)
Accelerated Reader by Renaissance is a fantastic tool that truly sparks a love for reading in kids! It creates an engaging and personalized experience, allowing students to explore a diverse range of books that capture their interests and imagination. With its user-friendly interface, kids can choose what they want to read and do so at their own pace, making the process feel more like an adventure than a chore.
One of the best features of Accelerated Reader is how it motivates students to set and achieve their own reading goals. This not only helps build their confidence but also encourages a sense of ownership over their learning. Plus, the program offers quizzes and feedback that help students reflect on what they’ve read, reinforcing their comprehension skills in a fun way.
For educators and parents, Accelerated Reader provides valuable insights into each child's progress. This information enables adults to offer just the right support and guidance, making it easier to nurture a child’s reading journey. The program also recommends books tailored to individual interests and reading levels, ensuring that every student finds something they love.
Overall, Accelerated Reader is more than just a reading program; it’s a wonderful way to make reading an enjoyable adventure for everyone involved. With its focus on fostering a lifelong love of reading, it’s a great resource for helping kids thrive academically and personally!
