Spokane Valley Tech & STEM Academy
May 2024
Hello!
We've had a fantastic month and are looking forward to all the fun traditions and activities coming up in May and June! Last Friday night was our Spring Fling dance, held at the event center at Sun City Church. We are so appreciative of our neighbor, Sun City, for allowing us to use their space. You can see from the photo below that our students had a great time!
On the academic front, our students are currently working hard on getting their Tradeshow Projects ready for May 30th and many are also prepping for AP exams that also happen in May. The Tradeshow is always an exciting day to see what they have been working on all year, and we do hope that you will be able to attend (see details below).
As we welcome Amanda St. Pierre to the role of Principal for SVT next year, please know that I will be working with her to ensure a smooth transition. Spokane Valley Tech is a very special place and we are excited to have her join this community!
Warm Regards,
Tricia Campbell, Interim Principal @ SVT

Introducing Amanda St. Pierre!
We are so excited to welcome our new principal, Amanda St. Pierre, to Spokane Valley Tech. Here is a note from her:
I am ecstatic to be part of the SVT family! I am passionate about career and technical education, project based learning, alternative ed/options schools, and really anything that empowers students to take charge of their learning! I am in year 17 of my career, 10 of those years being in a school much like SVT and I can't wait to learn more about the students, staff, families, and community that make this place so special!
Outside of education I am a mom of three awesome daughters that are 21, 11, and 3, a wife, and a CVSD resident. I was born and raised in the Spokane Valley and look forward to bringing the next chapter of my career as an educator and leader back to where I got my start as a learner!

Game Night
Come join us for our last Game Night this year! To make the event extra fun, we are going to have The Machinist Institute Trailer on site for students to visit. The Machinist Institute Trailer accommodates approximately 6 students every 15 minutes. While in the trailer, students will gain valuable insights into CNC Milling, CNC Lathe operations, and their robot/mill setup. Additionally, they offer the option to explore the AC/DC trainer and the CNC trainer within the trailer.
We have also invited our incoming class of STEM Academy students. It will be a fun night of playing games and making friends.
