Major's Minute

A lot has happened in this last week. Last Sunday the Camper Connections presentations, Baby Dedication, and farewell of Amber and Braden were a huge blessing! But the blessings kept going! Major Shoshannah was able to spend the week with nine campers at the Senior SAY and Music Camp. While back at the office Kristen hosted the Panthers Football team as they served in the food pantry. Major Celestine was able to spend a special moment with Desiree and Jesus as she remembered her mom.

The pics included in this newsletter only show a glimpse of what happens through this church. Please continue to share your pictures to celebrate God's blessing in your life as well as how He's using you to bless others. We'll gladly put it in the Clarion.

**Sunday School for all ages as well as Junior Church and Nursery will be on break starting today. They will all resume near the beginning of the school year. Details to come. We thank all of our teachers and pray that they will get a welcome rest to gear up for next year.**

**As we plan for the program year, how is God calling you to get involved? Can you help care for the nursery on a rotation, teach Junior church, drive, cook, sing? Do you want to deliver food to the homeless, help during the clothing closet or pantry? Do you want to connect with people through BINGO? Movies? Puzzles? Help get us connected more to the community. God has made each one of us unique and will uniquely equip us to take part in building His Kingdom! Let's worship Him in all things - in Spirit and in truth! Please chat with Majors about how you might want to get involved.**

Event Information

FAITHFUL - Men's Retreat

Men’s Ministries Retreat taking place August 16-18 at Camp Redwood Glen with special guest speaker Steve Carter. He spoke at the All-California Men’s Retreat in 2022. He is a Spirit-filled speaker. You'll also be blessed by having Martial Artist/Performance Artist Rick Alonzo join for the Saturday evening program. This will be a life changing weekend for all who attend!

Important information to know about the retreat:

Who: All men in the Golden State Division and ARCs located within the GS region.

What: Men’s Fellowship Retreat - FAITHFUL

When: August 16-18, 2024

Where: Camp Redwood Glen

Cost: Each unit will be charged the following amounts per delegate. We will help with costs up to $100 per delegate if you need assistance if you are staying at camp.

$200 for a regular room/cabin

$250 for a lodge

$100 for a flat fee to cover the cost of meals/programs to all Day Campers
