Jaedyn “Jack of all Trades” Voeltz led the way on the mound for 6 solid innings and teammate Lily “Hammer” Reiter pitched an inning in relief. “Tenacious” Teagan Barnett broke up the no-no with a single in the 7th.

Team Camp Summer 2025

We are planning to attend a Team Camp hosted at Southwest Minnesota State University held July 23-25, for our 10-12 players. This is an overnight camp with room and board included on campus. We will have the opportunity to get position coaching for college staff, time to work as a team together, compete in 7on7, line drills, and full team scrimmages. We are prioritizing a varsity roster with the potential for a JV squad as well depending on numbers.

This event does overlap with our summer camp. Those choosing not to attend will join camp as scheduled and continue to prepare for the upcoming season. Those attending both will be at camp in PI Monday and Tuesday, then leave Wednesday morning on a bus for Marshall.

Registration:

The cost from SMSU for each player is $212. The booster club is taking on a portion of the cost to help families. More details will be shared regarding exact cost.

Registration will require two steps. First, register on our website for the option that includes both the team camp and the summer camp. You will then have to register on the SMSU site. A code will be given that waives the fee to register on their site. The reason for this step is to complete all the waiver forms required by SMSU. The team will then pay the fee once all are registered.

Community Service Hours

We will be adding a Community Service Hour requirement to our Honors Pass opportunity. Along with the current requirements, students will need to complete a minimum of 3 hours of service at an approved location each quarter. These hours will be collected and confirmed prior to earning the Honors Pass for the following quarter. This will go into effect first quarter of the 2025-2026 school year. Students will be able to complete these hours this quarter, or over the summer. We will share more information during the State of the School assembly on Friday, April 11.

The Mantorville Theatre is having a student-led show this summer. The show will run August 22-24. Everything will be run by students, with the help/supervision of adults. Our student director is Cooper Worden (he will be a sophomore at Kasson-Mantorville this fall).

Auditions for the student show will be on Monday, May 5 & Tuesday, May 13 at 7 pm. All middle to high school aged students are welcome. We will be looking for students to help with costumes, set building, and lights/tech in addition to actors and actresses.

Student School Board Rep for 2025-2026

The School Board is seeking student representatives for next year. They are seeking 1 junior and 1 senior representative. Please CLICK HERE for more information and to apply. The deadline to apply is April 11, 2025.

Good Samaritan Program

  • The Good Samaritan program is created to help recognize our students who go out of their way to help others. Here are the details.

  • Students who are spotted doing something extraordinary to help others, will be given a “ticket”. Each ticket has a number on it.

  • Students who receive one of these tickets from a staff member will need to turn the ticket in to Mr. Menk prior to the end of each sports season in order to be eligible to win the prize.

  • Each ticket recipient who returns the ticket to Mr. Menk will be added to a spreadsheet of eligible winners for that season.

  • Every season (Fall, Winter, and Spring), there will be a drawing for one winner of a Stanley water bottle.

The winner for the Winter season is McKenna Knudson. Congratulations, McKenna and thank you for being a good samaritan!
