Work Permit Requirements
1.Scan QR/Pick Up from Work Experience Office or front office/Download a work permit APPLICATION
· *You must be offered employment to get a work permit (…you need to find a job first.)
· Must have at least 1.5 to get a restricted permit & a 2.0 to get a non-restricted permit. Your previous grading period is used to determine eligibility. Attendance matters!
2. Bring completed work permit APPLICATION to the Work Experience office during lunch or drop off in the front office.
- All signatures must be done in ink
- Address in Q must match address on application.
Once application is received,
- please allow two working days to prepare the PERMIT.
- An email will be sent to your student email account with directions when ready for signature and pick up.
3. Return to SIGN and PICK UP completed PERMITS from front office. You must your sign permit before you begin work.

Student Work Experience
SHINE (formerly known as A.S.T.E.R.I.S.K.)
The A.S.T.E.R.I.S.K- Accelerating Success Through Employment, Responsibility, Inspiration, Skills and Knowledge projects partners with various local businesses to provide high school students in the Moreno Valley Unified School District with opportunities to develop job skills and work experience. About 150 high school students are selected to participate in an internship program working for local businesses. It is a five week paid internship program.

Career Technical Education
Cosmetology
The Cosmetology Program at M.A.R.C.H. is serving a 2 year program servicing 11th and 12th graders within the Moreno Valley School District. We currently have 21 high school juniors who are currently learning about infection control, and manicuring. There are 15 seniors who have completed their basic training and are now in advanced training working on clients. Seniors are in need of clients who are willing to be a part of their training as advanced Cosmetologist. Services are offered Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:30pm to 5:00pm, and Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30pm-5pm. Book your appointments at ext. 32150.
Registration is closed but will open up ONLY for 11th grade students within the district at the beginning of next school year.
Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician program is a 8 month course offered at the Moreno Valley Community Adult School. This semester, there are 16 seniors concurrently enrolled. 11 students from M.A.R.C.H., 4 from MOVA, and 1 from Valley View High School.
