Principal's Message
Hello NOHS Families,
Heading into a short week before Presidents' Day weekend, here are a few important updates. Course selection is underway for underclassmen, and this week, school counselors will be meeting individually with sophomores to guide them through the process. Parents and students, please communicate with teachers to ensure the courses being selected align with teacher recommendations. For any questions, reach out to a school counselor. Additionally, Spirit Week is here, and the details can be found below. Students who participate all 4 days, following each day's theme, will be eligible for prizes. The Student Council will also be leading a pep assembly this Thursday morning, and all students are encouraged to participate. Have a great week!
Please find more details below regarding the following:

Additional Information for Absences:
Please call the attendance line as early as possible.
The attendance secretary will enter the partial absence if your student is leaving early and create a release slip for your student.
The slip acts as their pass for the teacher and security.

If the student is walking or has their own transportation, they can leave with their release slip.

Parking Permits Applications
Student drivers, please enter and exit through Burns Rd. or Revere to alleviate traffic issues before and after school. Also, make sure to go to the link below to purchase your parking permit. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A PARKING PERMIT AND MUST PARK IN THE STUDENT PARKING LOT.

Traffic Pattern for AM Drop-Off
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. As a reminder, to improve the flow of traffic in the high school drive, please utilize the middle lane as the pass-through lane while using the inside and outside lanes for drop-off, similar to an airport drop-off system. After dropping off your student(s) near the main entrance, all cars need to move immediately forward to the PAC stop sign so additional parents in line can drop off.
Cars will merge before the stop sign and then turn RIGHT (Left Turn here creates a point of congestion) at the PAC stop sign. This will guide traffic to exit around the back of the stadium. From there, both Burns and Revere can be used to exit the campus. Additionally, traffic can wrap around the stadium and exit via the Middle School drive onto Butternut. I kindly ask that we avoid cutting through the brick school bus lane, as this will allow us to get more vehicles out of the drop-off area in a timely manner.
For your reference, I've included a visual representation in the attachment to help clarify these instructions.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
