New Friday Dismissal Time: 2024 - 2025 School Year
To increase instructional time for our students, Ralston Public Schools has decided to extend the school day hours on Fridays for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
The new dismissal times on Fridays will be 2:30 pm for all elementary schools and Ralston Middle School and 2:40 pm for Ralston High School. This change will take effect at the start of the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Student Verification Opens July 24th - Please Complete as Soon as Possible
Each year, Ralston Public Schools asks parents to complete a process called Student Verification within R-Kids. We recommend you complete this process when the system opens on July 24th. Student Verification allows us to update important information regarding your child, such as emergency contact, medical information, acknowledgment of access to certain District documents, and permissions for specific items such as NSAA consent or media release information.
Accounts are made by the District using parent/guardian email addresses. If you forget a password, you can obtain it by using the Forgot Password option.
This is a notification to all our families - Verification opens on July 24th. Verification must be completed in order to obtain your child’s schedule (RMS/RHS), or learn who your child’s teacher is (elementary).
Transportation Survey for Seymour Elementary Families
Seymour Elementary families, please be on the lookout for a transportation survey the week of July 8, 2024. The survey will help us determine the transportation needs of Seymour students from Seymour to the Westside Community Center (WCC) at the start of the 2024-2025 school year.
The district will provide shuttle bus service for students from Seymour to the Westside Community Center in the mornings and afternoons. The survey will be a Google Form. Parents will receive a link to the survey in both an email and text message.

Construction Update
Mockingbird Elementary
Weitz Construction is finishing construction in certain areas on the interior of the new school. Demolition is underway of the old building, and the materials are being hauled off the school grounds. A new basketball court has been poured next to the new playground area.
The dirt work to prepare for the new parking lot and driveway will take place once demolition is complete. We look forward to welcoming our Roadrunner family back to a brand new school to start the 2024 - 2025 school year. To view the demolition process, please click on the video link below.
Blumfield Elementary
Weitz Construction is putting the finishing touches on the inside of the school. Crews are constructing a new front driveway and sidewalks on the school property. They will also do some concrete patchwork on the parking lot on the west side of the school.
It will be exciting for our Bobcat staff and students to start the year in our newly renovated school.
Karen Western Elementary
This summer, construction crews are installing new flooring throughout the entire school. Also, crews are working on replacing areas of the roof on the western side of the school.
Seymour Elementary
Weitz Construction is hard at work on renovations at the school. Demolition is nearly complete. Crews are working on installing new windows and applying the new exterior surfacing to the school.
Inside, crews are installing the overhead electrical system, water main for a sprinkler system and are continuing wall framing. Workers are also constructing the new secure vestibule at the main entrance (west side of the school) leading into the school’s new main office area. Seymour is also receiving a partial roof replacement this year.
Ralston Middle School
Demolition, flooring, ceiling, painting, lighting, and cement crews are all hard at work transforming RMS. You can see progress on the new flooring, lighting, ceiling grid, and tile.
Work is underway on the reconstruction of the new entryway, office area, and security vestibule. Parking lot areas are also getting prepped to receive new concrete this summer. Our construction crew is putting in a great amount of work to improve our middle school facilities in time for school to begin in August.
Ralston High School
Work is continuing on the replacement of the hot water heaters at RHS. Additionally, construction crews have completed the demolition of the parking lot on the west side of the school. Cement forms for the parking lot and sidewalks are currently being installed.
The new parking lot area will be poured in the next couple of weeks. This area will be closed until project completion. We asked that if you need access to the high school, please use the main parking lot and front entrance.
