The Dragon Details
The End of Quarter 1
Today marks the end of the first quarter. Teachers will have grades posted by noon on Monday, and report cards will be available at conferences on Monday and Thursday night. Parents will also be able to get the MCA results from the Minnesota Department of Education. Middle school parents will also receive the FastBridge screening results from our fall screening. We hope that you can join us for conferences. At the middle/high school, conferences are open house style. Teachers are available in their rooms.
We hope you can join us for our Veteran's Day Program on Monday, November 11th at 9:30 in the high school gym. Mr. Remme and the National Honor Society always do a great job honoring our local veterans. The students have been working on many projects to show our appreciation.
Next Friday, November 8th, there is a planned early release (12:15 at the MS/HS). Staff will be engaging in professional development that afternoon. Several of our staff members have been working toward gaining reading certifications to meet the requirements of the READ Act, and others continue to work on strategies to support the standards they teach in their classroom with engaging lessons.

Questions about S-EBT
District family data was entered into the S-EBT portal over the summer months for the benefit. Communication has been received that families should still receive their cards coming in the mail within the next few weeks. There are some families that were not approved for some reason in the system. My understanding is that they will also be sent communication and can contact the department through the contact info that will/should be coming. The system was closed on September 6th for any edits for the year; it was not clear on reports at that time who would get the benefits or not.
Mrs. Schilling
Study Tables
We want to remind students and families about our study tables. Students can get homework/organizational help from a teacher almost any Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday for the remainder of the school year. Study tables is not held if it is the last day of the week.
If you notice your student falling behind or struggling, please encourage them to attend. If they can't stay the entire hour, we can make arrangements for that. This is a great opportunity for students to ask questions and get help. Teachers can check for missing work and help organize a plan to get back on track.
