Conroe High School Tiger Tracks
November 12, 2023
Hello Conroe Tiger Families,
As we prepare for the week before Thanksgiving, we would like to thank you for all of your support so far this school year. Your support is important in creating an environment where our students can thrive. I urge you all to consider ways you can continue to support our CHS Staff, whether through involvement in school activities, open communication or reinforcing the importance of education at home. A united front between between our CHS Staff and our CHS Parents will definitely contribute to the overall success of our students.
If you would like to send a personalized thank you to one of your student’s teachers, the easiest way to do this is by creating a Teacher Achieving Excellence or T.A.E. submission. This is done by going to Parent Access Center, clicking on “Communication”, and then “Teacher/Staff Excellence”. You then have the option of selecting the teacher or staff member’s name. The message that you send will go directly to the staff member.
Please help PTO with our Fall Luncheon for the staff at both Conroe High School and Conroe High School 9th Grade Campus!!! More details can be found below!
Remember Montgomery County Food Bank has resources available for families. If you are in need of assistance, or if you would like to help families in need, then please utilize the following link to access their resources: Mobile Markets

Student Safety
Our number one priority is to keep our students safe at Conroe High School. Please parents, remind your children they are not allowed to leave campus for lunch. If your child walks to school, please remind them to use the cross- walk at a light. If your child is a car rider, please drop them off and pick them up in the car rider line, not HWY 105 or area businesses.

Blankets
As the weather turns cooler, this is a reminder that students can not wear blankets while in the building. Any blankets brought to school should be placed in backpacks. If we have students that do not have coats or jackets, they may utilize the Communities in Schools programs on campus to help supply students with clothing needs.
Student IDs
All students must wear their CISD Student ID to school everyday. Students forgetting their ID will need to purchase a temporary ID for $1.00. Students must have the student ID on in order to purchase lunch, ride CISD Transportation, attend games and school events. If your child needs a new Student ID, they need to stop by the Tiger Den.
Salute to Our Veterans
In a continuing tribute to our veterans, Conroe ISD is collecting photos for the next section of the mural at Veterans Memorial Intermediate. Any member of the Conroe ISD Community may submit a photo using the link below for potential inclusion: https://forms.gle/sUvttCiScNikeXRN8
Campus Deliveries
Just a reminder, we only allow deliveries from parents and family members. We can not accept food deliveries from food delivery companies such as Uber Eats, Grubhub, Doordash, etc. Please remind your student!
Automated Library Notifications
Conroe ISD Library Services enabled daily email notifications, so you are informed of the items checked out by your student. Daily emails will list the item(s) currently checked out. If the book(s) your student selected is not a good fit, please have your student return it to the campus library and choose a new title. If you have questions about the book(s), please contact the school librarian. Notifications for these daily messages can be managed in Parent Access Center (PAC). If you don’t have a PAC account, you will need to register for one to access the email settings. You can also view the item(s) your student checked out by logging in to Destiny Discover through your student's SSO account. You can further manage your student’s access to library materials by completing the Library Access Form found on the Library Services website along with viewing other helpful information. Please do not reply to this email as it comes from an unmonitored email account.
Vape Detectors
Vape detectors are active on both campuses: Be advised, campus restrooms are equipped with vape detectors. Students caught in possession of a vape device or under the influence may face severe disciplinary consequences, which may include, ISS/OSS, DAEP and/or expulsion to JJAEP pending an investigation. Please discuss the danger and consequences of vaping with your child.
(*Liquid THC is considered a felony controlled substance . Students caught with a vape device that tests positive for THC could receive a state felony charge, be arrested on campus, and face mandatory expulsion.)

Important Information For Freshmen
CHS9 Car Riders:
If you bring your student to school by vehicle, then please remember that the traffic loop in front of the Ninth Grade Campus contains two lanes. Vehicles can utilize the inside lane (left lane) to help alleviate traffic. When our duty personnel see students getting out of the vehicle from the left lane, we will stop traffic in the right lane allowing your student to cross safely. Please remind your student to check traffic before getting out of the vehicle. Parents, please continue to drive slowly and safely in the student drop-off area. We appreciate your attention to safety and patience every day.
