What Does The Fox Say?
October 24, 2024
We know parenting is the toughest job we have. But sometimes, it’s not that serious and it doesn’t have to make sense. There are times when my daughter is ridiculous and I gotta tell you that I laugh in a way with her that I do not with anyone else. Here’s a gem for you from a year ago:
Husband: Why are you eating candy?
10yo: I don’t know.
Husband: Just say because you want to.
10yo: Because I want to…
10yo: And I just farted…
I’m holding onto these moments folks. She’s in her first year of middle school. It may start going downhill soon. Every moment is precious and every moment counts. As we are well into the school year, I hope your child is sharing small moments they had in school. If your child is only talking about recess and what they had for lunch - that’s normal and I’m glad they’re telling you something!
Together, we are Inspire.

Save-the-Date: Inspire PTO Spring Auction Fundraiser
Inspire’s annual Spring Auction Fundraiser is Saturday, March 15th. This year’s theme is Inspire Roundup - Boots, Buckles and Bids! So start prepping your best western wear, lock in a babysitter and mark your calendars. Saddle up for a rip-roaring good time!
Be on Time to School!
A friendly reminder that school starts at 7:40am. The best time to arrive is between 7:25am-7:35am so students are in their classroom by 7:40am. We know it's tough for some kids to get up in the morning! Please help students build strong habits by getting them to school on time.
Attendance Reminder
Please be aware that we have an attendance team that reviews attendance records to ensure we are supporting our students. To avoid a phone call from the school or an attendance letter, please follow the school attendance protocol.
- Please notify the school if your child will be absent or tardy by e-mailing Inspire.attendance@dpsk12.org or calling the school attendance line at 720-424-4851. This should be done each day your child is absent or tardy so that we can account for your child. Automated calls will be made at 8:00 a.m. if the attendance line has not been called. Please be sure to let us know why your child is absent or tardy so that we can utilize the correct code (car troubles, illness, medical appointment, etc.).
