A special thank you to Ms. Jacqualin Jackson for providing an amazing sound bath experience for teachers. Another huge thanks goes out to Ms. Simoe Sapolu, Q'West's mom, for the amazing massage experience. She provided teachers with massages from 8:15am to 2:15pm. Everyone raved about how amazing and relaxed they felt. Our teachers deserved to be pampered!
Again, THANK YOU for making this week so special for the Tiger Team.
Mrs. Mariscal
Please give a warm Tiger welcome to Mrs. Mariscal.
Ms. Mariscal officially joined our staff this week as our new Parent and Community Rep and Supervision Aide. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our school and has been a long standing parent volunteer. She is mom to Sebastian and Steven Mariscal. Please stop by the Parent Center to say hello.
After School Intervention
Teacher Led Intervention
Thank you Tiger Teachers for Spring Intervention. Our students have greatly benefited from more time with you. Our Spring cycle is now over.
Book Nook,
Book Nook continues through June.
Summer School 2024
Tiger Families,
All students were given a paper Summer School and Summer Beyond the Bell (BTB) application this past week. If you are interested in your child attending one or both, please fill out the application(s) and return it to the Main Office by Friday, 5/17/2024.
Summer school will be at Purche ES and Avalon Gardens ES. Please indicate your preferred site. If you would like your child to attend Summer Beyond the Bell after they finish Summer School, please indicate that on the BTB application.
153rd St Elementary School will also host Beyond the Bell. Hours are from 8:00AM to 6:00PM. Students must arrive no later than 8:30AM. We will be providing breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. If you would like your child to participate in the Summer BTB program here at 153rd St ES, please complete the application and indicate 153rd St ES as your preferred site.
Regarding Summer BTB, you must complete the application even if your child currently attends BTB. The summer program is seperate from the one during the regular school year.
Please note that submitting an application for any summer program does not guarantee a seat in the program.
End of Year Assessments
Tiger Families,
We are currently working on end of year assessments. Please ensure your child is present each day and arrives on time. Please make every effort to not check them out early so they don't miss out on testing. Thank you for your consideration.
