- Climb Theatre Performance:
- As announced, CLIMB Theater (Creative Learning Ideas for Mind and Body) is coming to ICS on December 19, 2024!!
- The nationally recognized 50-year-old theater, known for using theater to teach young people about subjects like acceptance of differences, bullying, sexual abuse, and substance abuse, will be performing Relative Location for grades 5-8 on December 19th.
Relative Location focuses on Equity, Well-Being, and Empathy skills.
- "Overwhelmed with impending deadlines for the school magazine, important tests, and friendship drama, three friends find themselves re-examining questions of equity, empathy, and how to put their wellbeing first."
- After the play, students will return to their individual classrooms to participate in a follow-up class with CLIMB's actor/educators. The class will feature a mixture of games, activities, skits, and discussion to help reinforce the concepts taught in the play. CLIMB blessed us with three classes. Eighth and sixth grade will be combined. 7th and 5th will each have their own class.
- Students will attend the play after mass and will probably participate in the classes after lunch or recess. We are still working out that detail with CLIMB.
- A special thanks to the ICS family who donated $1,000.00 to benefit students in grades 5-8 and to CLIMB for providing a $5,000.00 package for our $1,000.00 in loaves and fishes.

2024 ICS Candle Sale Frequently Asked Questions
Why are we selling candles?
The 8th grade candle sale is an annual ICS tradition that helps fund the 8th grade end-of-year field trip, graduation ceremony, and party. This year, since the 8th grade is so small, we decided to expand the sale to all students as a way for younger students to “pay it forward” and help the 8th grade. Money not used by this year’s 8th grade class will go toward next year’s 8th grade class.
How much do candles and room sprays cost, when do I collect payment, and what payment methods are allowed?
Items are $15 each. Payment should be collected when the order is placed. You can take cash or a check made out to “Immaculate Conception School” or “ICS”.
When are orders due?
Please bring your order form and money to your homeroom teacher no later than 12/2. You can bring them in earlier, if you wish. Be sure your name and a parent phone number is on the form in case we have questions about your order.
Will there be candle sales at any IC masses?
Yes. 8th grade and Student Council members will be taking orders after each mass on 11/23, 11/24, 11/30, and 12/1.
When will candles be delivered?
Candles ordered by 12/2 will be given to students the week of December 16th.
Hot tip:
Bring your order form to your Thanksgiving celebration!
Oh my gosh! I forgot to turn in my order! What do I do?
Orders received after 12/2 will still be taken, but delivery would be after the Christmas break.
If I have more questions, who should I contact?
Bill Lepsch: blepsch@comcast.net 612.805.3445
Mrs. Knisely: bknisely@immac-church.org 763.788.9065
Thank you, everyone, for helping support your 8th grade class!
