Middle School announces January Veritas Students of the Month: We are proud to honour students each month, nominated by teachers, in recognition of going above and beyond Veritas culture. Congratulations to the students: Ali Karim (7-3), Rory Fitzgerald (7-4), Zach Beckerleg (7-1), Thomas Minkoff (8-3), and Matthew Gelber (7-4). (Matthew was absent for the group photo this week.) We thank them for their outstanding contributions! Wear your Golden Tie with pride!
Yearbooks have arrived! Students who were at Selwyn house in the 2023-24 school year received their yearbooks earlier this week. Enjoy looking through the pages that preserve so many memories! Please note an error on page 3: Sebastien Lajoie was mis-named as Samuel Lajoie. Despite careful editing, this unfortunate error made its way to print. The yearbook team wishes to extend its sincere apologies. We value and proudly recognize Mr. Sebastien Lajoie as our Head of Middle School in 2023-24.
Candy Grams for Sale! Candy grams are a Valentine’s Day card with a small bag of candy that students can send to their friends. They are $2 and can be sent to students in Grades 7-11 at Selwyn House, The Study, ECS, Sacred Heart, and Trafalgar. Middle School students can purchase them starting today until Tuesday February 11 from Ms. Beech’s office. They will be delivered on February 14.
Math Contest: During the first period on Tuesday, February 18, all Grade 7 & 8 students will be participating in the National Math League contest. The contest will not count for marks, but will be a good opportunity for students to challenge themselves and to test their general math knowledge. Sample contests from previous years can be found here.
