Halloween Costume Update
Students are welcome to wear costumes to school on Halloween, which will be Thursday, Oct. 31. Costumes are optional, and to ensure that the school day proceeds without interruption, they must meet the following requirements:
Students must be able to wear the costume to school and throughout the school day without any adult assistance (no changing clothes at school)
The costume must allow the student to participate in learning without distractions (ex: no props, inflatable costumes, large boxes, etc.)
No masks or toy weapons of any kind
Costumes must be respectful of others and may not include anything violent or gruesome (no blood)
Costumes may be worn on Halloween only
2nd Annual Halloween Fun Run
Join the Sperreng and Truman Cross Country teams to run a FUN 2 mile course in your Halloween costumes! Race starts at 3:30. You will meet in the cafeteria as soon as school is out and wait for instructions. Parents are welcome to come watch! Teachers are welcome to watch or RUN, too! Head Lice Screening Reminder
Head lice are a common problem, especially among school-aged children and their families. Our district is not seeing a rise in cases at this time; however, it is common to see additional cases around Halloween, as people try on costumes and headpieces in stores. As a precaution, we want to provide families with prevention tools and inform you of district practices. Head lice can be a nuisance, but they have not been shown to spread disease. In addition, personal hygiene or cleanliness in the home or school has nothing to do with getting head lice. Please click the link below for additional information.
District Communications Survey - We Want to Hear from You!
As part of our continuous improvement efforts, Lindbergh Schools has launched a communications survey to gather feedback from community members, parents, and staff.
We invite you to take a survey to help us measure the effectiveness of our current communication practices and determine where we can improve. Take the survey online here: www.lindberghschoolssurvey.org
