Cedar Shoals High School Newsletter
for the week of April 29, 2019
A message from the Principal
Testing begins this Monday, April 29th
EOC testing begins on Monday, April 29th and we need for all students to get a good night's sleep and to bring their charged laptop and charger to school each day during testing.
If your student has lost their computer or if you have other questions about laptops, please contact our Student Support Technician, Monica Huff at huffmo@clarke.k12.ga.us or at 706-546-5375 x21280.
Please also note that during these coming weeks your student may be marked absent as they are not in their regular classroom but in a testing session. It can sometimes take our Attendance Clerk a few days to update the information. Please be patient with us during this time as we work hard to ensure accurate attendance and a secure testing environment.
Thank you for your support!

"Cedar Life" Commemorative poster fundraiser
A fundraiser supporting the Skills USA and Peer Leadership Programs will take place Tuesday-Thursday, April 23-25. Students will have the opportunity to purchase one of three "CEDAR LIFE" commemorative posters at a cost of only $10 each. All sales will be cash only. Each poster design allows the student to submit an image of their own to be placed on the poster, making it a custom design! There's plenty of space in each poster for friends and teachers to sign.
Each poster is 18" x 24" printed on gloss paper and makes a great gift/keepsake that celebrates your time at Cedar Shoals during the past year.
Proceeds from the sale will be split equally between the Skills USA and Peer Leadership programs.
Senior graphic design student Santiago Epps originated the idea, oversaw development and brought the project to fruition. Hats off to Mr. Epps for his self-starting ability, as well as his commitment to Cedar Shoals and the extra-curricular programs it offers.
