Patch and Pond Makers Market
Seniors' Healthy Meal Challenge
On Friday, April 25, our seniors created top-notch meals for the 12th Grade Humanities Healthy Meals Challenge. This project explores principles of economics, informed by the themes of food insecurity and social justice, and sparked by the fun of cooking and eating.
Education Reimagined Learning Lab
This week, Met students and staff participated in the Education Reimagined Learning Lab, a gathering of educators and youth who explored the elements of learner-centered environments and how we can make our own schools more authentically responsive to student needs and directed by student interests.
Supplies Needed for Theater Club!
Theater club is asking for the following items to help build/create a set for their showcase on May 28 (details to come):
- 1/2" pvc pipe, any length
- 1/2" pvc elbow or T connectors
- "fake" grass/ astroturf remnants, any size (borrow)
- fairy lights (battery or solar) (borrow)

Support Your Child's Wellbeing: Free Mental Health 101 Virtual Class
Families,
We understand that supporting your child's mental health is a top priority, especially during these challenging times. That's why we're excited to announce a special opportunity for you to gain valuable insights and strategies through our upcoming free Mental Health 101 Class.
Led by our National Clinical Director, Juan Treviño, MSW, LCSW, and Michael Gabrielle, our Manager of Virtual Classes & School Partnerships, this webinar is designed to help you better understand and support your child's mental well-being.
Here's a glimpse of what will be covered:
Understanding what mental health really means and how it impacts your child
Recognizing warning signs and symptoms that your child may be struggling with their mental health
Learning strategies for how to respond to signs of challenges and how to support your child in developing healthy coping skills
Q&A session with a licensed clinician

The San Diego County Office of Education and Computers2Kids are hosting an event for families to purchase affordable computers on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Granite Hills High School at 1719 E. Madison Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92019. (Drive Thru Event).
