Knox Middle School
April 2024
Knox Newsletter
During the month of April, we started state testing. State testing will continue into the first week of May for 8th grade students. Students have done an incredible job giving a strong effort on the test. Each morning we have had a daily testing raffle and students have won amazing prizes for these efforts. Next week our 6th and 7th grade students will work on a college research project, while 8th graders complete state testing.
Thank you to all of our parents that joined us in April for Student-led Conferences. We also thank the 70 Lincoln student leaders that came to listen to our Knox students. We celebrate each student's success in reaching and reflecting on the Critical Concepts and the hard work they have put into their portfolios and reflections on learning.
Attendance:
Great job to all of our students that have been working on clearing their absences during the weekend. As a reminder, End of Year activities are LOP events. Students need to clear their absences and tardies in Saturday School.
Promotion:
Reminder that all 8th grade students must be passing their classes in Power School on May 13th to participate in the Promotion Ceremony. Each student that meets the criteria will get a limited amount of tickets to bring guests to the event. We will not be selling additional tickets, as space is limited in the Lincoln Theater. In addition, the next grading period will determine LOP (Loss of Privileges) eligibility for End of the Year activities. Please remind your student to clear their absences and to get to class on time.
Please see below for some more of our awesome activities from February at Knox.
