Fruit and Veggie Challenge
Mr. Jutkus challenges you to try eating a new fruit or vegetable and to take a picture of yourself eating it. Be open-minded and try something different or even try a new variety of a common fruit/veggie such as Moon Drop Grapes!
If you’re up for the challenge, head to a local grocery store, farmers market, or international market with your family and find a fruit or vegetable to try. Print out a picture of yourself eating it and send it to Mr. Jutkus by the end of April. All pictures will be displayed on the bulletin board/wall in the gym. Please share your eating experience with your teachers and classmates.
Have fun and happy eating!
Eisenhower Elementary
During the month of April the students in grades 3-5 are often bogged down with the academics in preparation or PSSA testing. I try to keep activities fun, simple, and active. I want for PE to be a stress reliever for my students. I want them to come in and turn off their brains (not totally) but turn off the academic stuff and just come play and have fun. We will be doing activities with scooters, some whole group game favorites like castle ball, some team challenge things with pool noodles, and maybe a little kickball!
