Dear Parents/Carers,
The festive calendar has well and truly begun this week with various events happening across school. School has been trimmed and looks very seasonal. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Selby who kindly bought school a real Christmas Tree for the school hall. This looks beautiful and we are very grateful to both for this kindness.
This Week
Santa Visit
Christmas Singing
Pontefract Civic Society Christmas Window Judging
Polar Express
This week, as a reward for excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning, the whole school watched The Polar Express. This is such a magical film and really gets you in the Christmas spirit. The pupils were able to change into their PJS for the event and bring blankets or teddies. During the interval, the pupils drank hot chocolate and ate cookies. Well done to everyone. This reward is very much deserved!
Christmas Fair
This afternoon, school was full to the brim with families for our Christmas Fair. The pupils worked very hard to set up and run their stalls. There was a wide range of Christmas-themed activities to do and school-made treats to buy. Thank you to everyone who attended. I would also like to thank our very loyal and dedicated parents
(Friends of Larks Hill) who always give up their time to help organise and run our café and tombola stalls for us. Without this support, we would struggle to provide these elements of the fair and we are very grateful for all that you do to help us.

Weekly Maths Challenges
Thank you to all our families for your continued support. This time of year is always so busy but we are extremely grateful to you for supporting us at our events, for your generous donations and for your support with costumes and anything else that we reach out to you for. Without your support, we would not be able to do what we do for our pupils.
Have a lovely weekend and take great care with the stormy weather that is forecast.
Yours Sincerely,
Mrs Adams
