Principal's Message
Week of April 4th, 2023
Our Rumpeltstiltskin play was a resounding success!
If you attended our evening performance, then you witnessed the amazing work our students were able to produce in only 5 days. I am so proud of their hard work and for putting themselves out there when for many, being part of a cast and performing in front of parents and peers was a new endeavor.
Thank you parents for allowing your child to participate in this fantastic extra curricular opportunity. I can foresee many actors in the future.
I was impressed with the energy and professionalism shown by the Missoula Children's Theater's staff. They were equally impressed with our Tigers' behavior, and the parent and personnel support they received both before and after the performances.
We hope to bring them back next year!
We will be on Minimum Day Schedule on Friday, April 7th
Please make the necessary plans to pick up your students this Friday as we will be on a minimum day schedule:
Grades k-3: 8:00 - 12:15
Grades 4-5 : 8:00 - 12:25
Congratulations to our Employees of the Year!
Sandra Verreras is one of our fabulous playground Supervisors. She is the friendly face you see every day at the front of our school making sure every child is safe and being delivered to the correct adult! She is a kind and caring employee to all!
Nicole Delbar is our current literacy coach. Her history with Georgia Brown goes back to the beginning of our dual immersion program as she was one of the founders. Maestra Delbar is instrumental in ensuring our practices in reading and writing are aligned to our school's vision.
We are honored to have these two amazing ladies in our Georgia Brown family
Thank you to those parents who are considering taking advantage of the proposed before and after school shuttling system for drop off from our current GB site to the Temp. Campus next year. I am receiving positive feedback from many families.
If you haven't already done so, and are interesting in using the shuttle system, please indicate so in following survey.
Career Day - April 20th
Georgia Brown Elementary will be celebrating our Career Day, Thursday April 20, 2023. On this day we are celebrating our community of professionals. I would like to invite you to come to our school and share your career with our classrooms.
