ROOM PARENTS
We are in search of "room parents" for the 2024-2025 school year. Being a room parent provides you the opportunity to help with class parties throughout the school year. If you are interested please complete THIS form TODAY.
JOIN PTO
If you join the PTO it is only one payment per family! This includes access to the parent directory but more importantly when you join the PTO your contribution helps to pay for all of the events and activities that are put on by the PTO (i.e. back to school bash, cultural fair, winter wonderland event, etc.) Your involvement is what truly makes it possible for PTO to offer all of these activities and fundraisers for our community, students, teachers, and families. Health Compliance
October 15th, 2024 is the deadline for medical records being submitted for new students to District 102. On October 15th a Physical, Immunization records, and a Vision Exam by an optometrist or opthamologist is required by the State of Illinois. A Dental Exam is due by May 15th, 2025. Please be aware that if your child does not have medical forms in by October 15th, they will not be allowed to attend until they are submitted, which we definitely do not want that to happen!
HERE is a link to all of our forms on our website if you need any. Please do not send originals without FIRST making a copy for yourself.
You can email records to tgrizales@d102.org Tripp School Nurse.
Ask your doctor to fax records to Tripp School at 847-215-3268
Send them to school with your child.
Erin's Law Assembly
On January 24, 2013, Governor Pat Quinn signed Erin’s Law, House Bill 6193, which requires schools to annually implement an age-appropriate sexual assault and abuse awareness and prevention curriculum for grades pre-K through 12.
In compliance with state law, District 102 social workers and psychologists will be presenting to students on Tuesday, October 15th during PE. This program is designed to empower and educate children. This presentation will discuss the following topics in approximately a 30-minute session:
- Distinguishing Safe from Unsafe Touches
- Safe vs. Unsafe Secrets
- Personal Body Safety and Saying “No”
- Telling a Trusted Adult
For additional information about Erin’s Law, please visit www.erinslaw.org. Together, we can make sure our children are safe!
Requests to Opt-Out: If you prefer that your child opt-out of this prevention education session, please email Mrs. Schenk.
Tissue Decorating Contest
Pritchett and Tripp will host a tissue box decorating contest. Students are challenged to decorate a tissue box like their favorite book character! Please see attachment for more details.

Missing Items?
We know and respect how hard you work to provide your child with the items they need for school. We also know that children lose these items. We would greatly appreciate it if you could take some time to LABEL your child's lunch bag and water bottle. Please include their first and last name. This will help us get the item back to your chid.
