Principal's Message
Please be sure your 3rd - 6th grade student is present and ready to do their BEST for CAASPP Testing April 14 - May 2
Dear CW Needham Elementary School Families,
As we begin our CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) testing season, I want to take a moment to highlight how important it is for our students to be present, well rested, and well nourished during this time.
These assessments provide valuable information about how well our students are mastering grade-level standards and help us tailor instruction to meet their needs. To help each child do their very best, we ask for your support in a few key ways:
1. Ensure Consistent Attendance
Please make every effort to have your child at school on time each day during testing. A calm and punctual start to the day helps reduce anxiety and sets a positive tone for focused work.
2. Prioritize Restful Sleep
A good night’s sleep is essential for clear thinking and concentration. We recommend students get 9–11 hours of sleep, depending on their age, to help them stay alert and energized throughout the day.
3. Provide a Nutritious Breakfast
A healthy breakfast helps students stay focused and engaged. While we offer free breakfast on campus beginning at 7:30AM, you are always welcome to provide a balanced meal from home as well.
With your support, we know our students will approach testing with confidence and give their best effort. Thank you for partnering with us to help every child shine during CAASPP and beyond!
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
