Homecoming Is A Wrap!
Last week was a lot of fun for our staff and students! A huge thank you to Mrs. Hiza and Mrs. Freymuth along with Student Council who planned spirit week, our pep assembly, Film on the Field, and the Homecoming Dance last week!
We are heading toward the close of some of our fall sports, but we still have others that will run through the end of October. Be sure to read ahead about Winter Sport/Activity Registration so you can make sure you are prepared for our upcoming winter activities.

Grizzly Grads Return Home
It is always great to see our Grizzly Graduates return home to say hello! I caught Ben Clercx and Michael Hammond on the sideline. These 2 great young men were 2024 graduates!
The Senior Class Wins Powderpuff Football!
Congrats to all the ladies who played powderpuff football this year! Every game was super competitive, with the Senior class notching their 3rd straight PPF championship!

Winter Sports Registration
Plan on playing a winter sport (Basketball, Wrestling, Girls Swim, Winter Guard), you'll need to make sure you register in order to tryout.
This is a very similar process to fall sports, but all potential winter participants will need to log in to the registration site linked below to register for the winter. All participants will need to have a current MSHSAA Sports Physical and a valid Impact Testing Baseline.
This registration will open on September 23rd and close on October 28th.
The first day of practice for Boys and Girls Basketball, Girls Wrestling is November 4th.
The first day of practice for Boys Wrestling and Girls Swim is November 11th.

Just a quick heads up that our final home football game of the season on 10/18 will be senior night and Military & First Responders Appreciation Night here at North Point.
All Active Service Members, Veterans, and First Responders will get free admission to the game, and we will have recognition for those groups along with our seniors prior to the game.
If you are interested in shirt for that night, you can follow the link below!
Fall Sports & Activities Updates
NP Dance
The Dance team turned in great performances in both the Pep Assembly on Thursday, and on the field on Friday Night!
NP Cheer
The Cheer squad was well represented at Homecoming with both the JV and Varsity teams on the sideline for the game. Wet and slippery field conditions prevented them from taking the field at halftime, but their spirit from the sideline was felt all game!
Don't forget that the team is running a youth clinic to raise money for their trip to nationals this year! Click the link below if interested.
North Point Football
Unfortunately our lower level football games were interrupted by storms and rain last Monday. The Freshmen were leading Liberty when the game was called due to prolonged lightning.
This Friday the Varsity team took down the visiting Lions from FZE at the Homecoming Game. The Grizzlies notched a 28-17 win, and moved to 4-1 on the season. They'll take on a tough FZS Bulldog team on the road this Friday who sports a matching 4-1 record. It should be a great game at FZS, please come out and support your Grizzlies!
Caden Mueller
Sophomore Caden Mueller pancakes a FZE defender on a Tav Williams scamper into the endzone.
Hoyt Gregory
The senior QB kept the offense moving in the right direction on Friday night. He had multiple TD passes for the Grizzlies on Homecoming v. the Lions.
Ty Williams
NP Girls Volleyball
Another busy week for the Grizzly Volleyball team. They notched wins over FZN and SCW before going 2-2 in the Troy Invitational on Saturday!
Special shout out to senior setter Anna Berkbigler, she notched her 2000th career assist on Saturday.
NP Boys Soccer
The Freshmen team played tough against FZW on Thursday evening, dropping a close game 1-0. The Grizzlies had some great chances toward the end of the game, but luck was not on our side. They are back in action this week at FHN on 10/2.
The Varsity team had a strong SC United Tournament showing, finishing 5th overall in the tournament. They'll head to Parkway central along with the JV team on Tuesday 10/1.
NP Softball
Unfortunately last week's wet weather washed out a number of the Softball teams games, however this week the weather looks great, and the Softball Team is our Game of the Week on 10/1 v. FZE!
Come on out and pack the Den on Tuesday for Senior Night against the Lions!
NP Girls Golf
The girls are getting ready for conference and district play in the coming weeks! Last week I was able to catch them in action at Incline Village against a good FZN team!
Grizzlies on the Green

Elliana Trimble
NP Girls Tennis
Be sure to pop on out to the Den today for our Senior Night match v. SCW! Coach Telker and a plethora of Grizzly Seniors look to finish the season strong vs. the Warriors!
NP Cross Country
The Cross Country team headed back to Columbia for the Gans Creek Classic this weekend! All levels performed well and they are rounding into shape for the post season!
Attendance - Sports and Activities
Having great attendance is a must for athletes and activities participants. Not only does being in class regularly help with your grades, but it is required to be able to participate on a day when your sport or activity has a contest or game!
Our North Point parents have been great so far about keeping my office up to date, thank you for your efforts! Here are a few quick reminders:
- If your student will miss all or a portion of a school day that falls on the same date as a game/contest, this absence will need to be pre-approved by Dr. Adams.
- Parents should email Dr. Adams at least 24 hours in advance of the absence on a contest day, including partial absences for doctors appointments. He will respond back approving or denying the ability to play/participate.
- Students should bring a doctor's note back with them to give to the attendance office upon their return.
- Remember, any absence that isn't pre-approved (including leaving school for lunch or for forgotten items at home) on the day of a contest will make the student ineligible to compete that day.
- Be careful with Fridays or days prior to breaks, if the contest is on a Saturday and the absence occurs on a Friday, a student will not be eligible to compete on Saturday.
- All absences should be called in or emailed to the attendance office, and absences from a practice should be communicated directly with coaches and sponsors.
Thank you for your continued help!
Online Activity Passes & Digital Ticketing
With this year's move to online sports passes and digital ticketing, here are few helpful pieces of information to have your digital ticket ready before trying to enter the game on Thursday.
- Download the GoFan App and create an account (If you purchased an online season pass you should use the same email you used when you purchased the pass)
- Once in the app you can pull up your digital ticket, or your season pass. If you need to distribute season passes to family members you can do that here as well. Again have them create a Go Fan account, get the app, and for students use a non-school email.
- Your season pass or single game ticket will be a live ticket. They can only be used once per game. We will not accept a screen shot in place of the actual digital ticket. The ticket takers at the pass gate will physical tap your phone to redeem your ticket.
See the links below if you are interested in a single game ticket, or a season sports pass.
NP Activities Passes
If you have a student participating in a sport this year, or just enjoy visiting the Den for events, an Activity Pass is your best value, and the easiest way to gain quick access to NP venues for games!
The Activity Pass will even get you into road contests at other Wentzville School District Schools - Liberty, Holt, and Timberland.
A family pass (for a family of 5) is only $80 for the entire year! Admission into home events in the fall like football and volleyball is $5 for adults and $2 for students. If you attend all the varsity home games and games at our district opponents (Holt, Timberland, Liberty) you would spend $112 at the gate! By getting the family sports pass you can attend those games, plus lower level football and all the home volleyball you can handle this fall! Your activity pass will continue to pay off the rest of the year as you can use it at home basketball and wrestling and boys volleyball in the spring! It really does represent a great value as it will pay for itself during the football season alone!
Click on the link below to purchase your activity pass today!
The district and NPHS are trying to move to a cashless gate as much as possible. In order to help you get into events quickly with your Activity Pass these will only be digital this year. Please use a parent email to purchase the pass so that it does not get blocked in student email accounts.
Check out the link for the GoFan:How To Guide below to learn how to access your pass, how it will work at the gate, and how to distribute your family passes.
NP Athletics Schedules
You can access fall sports schedules now on the webpage linked below. There is also an "Activity Scheduler" app available for your mobile device that will alert you of schedule changes. It is a great idea to go ahead and save that link to your browser for future reference.
Please remember that there is a good chance for early season schedule changes due to other school's participation numbers or unanticipated scheduling conflicts. We thank you for your patience as we iron those out with other schools.
Grizzly Way Booster Club - New Opportunities to Help Your Program!
The Grizzly Way Booster Club is an all school booster club that helps fund requests for all school sponsored teams and activities. Please check out their website to see how they've helped fund requests, over $75,000 worth in just a few short years since the opening of the building!
You can also check out their online spirit wear store, and look for opportunities to volunteer and get involved! Click the picture below to consider becoming a member today!
Mark Your Calendar - Parent Teacher Conferences Oct. 29 & Oct. 30.
Don't forget that we have PT conferences on Oct 29 from 3:30-7pm, and on Oct 30 from 10am-8pm.
We will be signing up for conferences a bit differently this year, be on the lookout for an email from Dr. Shelmire on Oct 1 for more information on how to sign up.
Protect Your Eligibility This Year
Please remember that participating in sports and activities here at North Point is a privilege, not a right. Student participants are expected to maintain their eligibility and citizenship by following our district and MSHSAA Guidelines. Please click on the pictures below to review the attached resources to help ensure your eligibility for the entirety of the school year.
