This Week at GMSS
From the Desk of Ms. Murdock
Hello GMSS families,
It is Teacher Appreciation Week and we are certainly feeling the appreciation from our families. Thank you so much. I am personally very grateful to our staff and care they give students.
The last day of school for students is Friday, May 24th. We kick off the day with our annual Talent Show and traditional clap out of our 8th grade students. This is around 10:30.
~8th graders will walk to Hunters Ridge pool for their day
~6th & 7th grade students will remain at GMSS for a field day! Field Day help is also needed! Join the fun:

I cannot believe we are down to just a few weeks of the year. As we are in the home stretch, and the weather is nice, we are full of energy and ready for summer break. This is the time to dig deep and continue to ROAR. We do not want any students to lose the opportunity for the last day of school fun. This can be a consequence for behavior. Finish strong!
Have a fabulous week!

Awards Nigh! GMSS hosts an awards night for students that have an average of a 3.5 through the first 3 quarters. This night is Tuesday, May 21st at the Lincoln High School Auditorium. In addition, students earn the right to be taken out by family members for a celebration on Thursday, May 23rd. Students will be posted this week and you will receive an invitation to the awards festivities.
Great work to all of our winners.
TRAFFIC: As the weather is warmer, we have more students riding bikes and walking to and from school. Please be cautious and follow the loop as you are picking up and dropping off students.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Chromebooks will not be collected from students in grades 6-11 at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Students may keep their Chromebook over the summer. Students will be expected to bring their charged Chromebook with them on the first day of the 2024-25 school year.
By default, Chromebooks will be disabled for the summer. If you would like to have your student’s Chromebook enabled so that it can be used for summer school or other activities, please complete the form in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
The video below explains how to complete the form.
