Meadow Brook Magic
Week 7 & 8: September 23rd—October 6th
Celebrating our Mighty Mustangs
Mustang Monday Message
Dear Mustang Family,
I would like to thank our PTA for all of the hard work they put into planning our Chalk Festival. I was so impressed by the great patience and creativity displayed by students, families, and teachers as they chalked their squares. We certainly have some talented artists at Meadow Brook! It was a wonderful evening being together and connecting with so many of you— thank you for your continued support!
On Thursday, we look forward to meeting with you during our Parent-Teacher Conferences (SEPs) to collaborate and ensure we are doing everything possible to support your student's learning. Please remember to sign up by tomorrow at noon to sign up, as the SEP Scheduler will be locked after that, and teachers will assign any remaining slots. The passcode you'll need is "school." Below are the registration links:
- Kindergarten to 2nd Grade
- 3rd Grade to 5th Grade
- Specialty Teachers (Christensen, Roubicek, Astle, Ledesma, Speech)
Our PTA will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from Oct 7th-10th. It will be open daily before school, during lunch, after school, and during SEPs on Thursday. Additionally, parents are invited to join their students for lunch on Tuesday (October 8th) and Wednesday (October 9th). We will have some extra seating in the lunchroom, or you can enjoy the beautiful weather and have a picnic outside. You can view the school lunch schedule here.
We also encourage as many students as possible to participate in Reflections program. Reflections is a national PTA initiative that encourages students to engage in the arts. It’s free to participate, and students can submit original works in categories like Photography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, 2D Visual Arts, and 3D Visual Arts, all based on this year's theme, “Accepting Imperfection.” Entries are due October 14th, and students may submit one entry per category. For more information, visit the flyer or go to https://www.utahpta.org/ref.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing you at SEPs!
Best wishes,
Principal Balli

Nebo Mental Health Screener Night
Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students from 4 pm to 8 pm Monday, October 7, 2024, at Diamond Fork Middle School. We will be using Terrace Metrics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. Students in grades 3-5 may participate as well, and that screener will measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety and depression.
If you would like to participate, please sign up here for an appointment. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources as needed.
Link to Parent Information Video (2.5 minutes)
Prior to taking the mental health screener, a consent form needs to be completed by the parent/guardian. The consent form will be available upon arrival.
If you have any questions, please contact your school counselor.
