School Advisory Council
Thank you to all the parents who volunteered for SAC. As you know, we emailed a poll out for parents to vote for 7 names. The following were selected based on majority of votes: Abigail Kemp, Quenisha Wells, Elorah Corrigan, Joana Vasquez Felipe, Ylda Trinidad Reyez.
We will have a run off of those who tied for the last two spots. The poll has gone out through Focus and will close Monday 9/2/24 at noon.
Our first meeting will be Thursday Sept 5 at 3:15 in the Media Center. Please bring ID and sign in at the office. All are invited to attend.
Arrival and Dismissal
Students may arrive starting at 7:30. There is no supervision before that time.
Dismissal- if you need to make a change to your child's way home, we must have a handwritten note from the parent. We cannot take transportation changes over the phone or email. This is for your child's safety.
If you are walking up to the bike rack to meet your child or walking to the office to check a child out, please use our sidewalks as we have cars, daycare vans and school bus all moving out the gate. Your safety is important to us.
Inclement Weather
If we are experiencing thunder/lightning in the area, we MUST remain in the building for 30 min after the most recent strike. This may impact dismissal. If you choose to come into the office to check your student out, please be sure to bring ID or your car tag. Please be patient with us as this does make dismissal time lengthy. We must follow this procedure for the safety of students and staff.
Once the 30 min wait period is over, we will resume normal dismissal procedures.
We do dismiss as usual during rain only (no lightning/thunder).

school year. Please see an email attachment sent to all families 8/21/23 for more information.

School/District Report Cards Parent Notification
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires that a Local Educational Agency prepare and disseminate an annual Local Educational Agency report card and provide information on state, local, and school performance and progress in an understandable and uniform format.
District and School grades provide an easily understandable way to measure the performance of a school. Parents and the public can use the grades and their components to understand how well each district and/or school is serving its students. District and school grades for the 2022-2023 school year serve as an Informational Baseline using the new assessment cut scores.
