February 2025 - Volume 9 Issue 6
From the Principal
Dear Heatherwood Families,
As we embark on the second semester of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. Your involvement and encouragement play a vital role in your child’s success, and I’m grateful to work together in fostering a positive and enriching learning environment.
A new semester brings a fresh start—an opportunity for students to reflect on their progress, set new academic and behavioral goals, and continue striving for excellence. At Heatherwood, we encourage all students to SOAR by demonstrating Safety, Ownership, Achievement, and Respect in all aspects of their school experience. These values not only guide their learning but also shape their character and interactions with others.
This month, as we celebrate Kindness Month, we are especially focused on leading with kindness, empathy, and respect. Small acts of kindness can have a powerful impact, and we encourage our students to uplift and support one another as they continue to grow.
Thank you for your continued partnership in making Heatherwood a place where students thrive. We look forward to a successful second semester filled with growth, achievement, and kindness.
With Gratitude,
Laura Wellington
Principal

We are excited for second semester as we have more events planned for our student body and Mill Creek community.
