Highlights of the week!

Dear Coleman Families,

We had an excellent week of learning here at Coleman! I met with grade-level teams to review beginning-of-the-year assessment data and begin planning for the next month of learning.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Thursday’s Hat Day for United Way! We had an amazing turnout, and Mrs. Dixon’s class is currently in the lead to silly string me on Friday, October 11th. Don’t worry, there’s still time to donate to United Way!

Looking ahead, October 3rd is Stuffy Day, and October 10th is Popcorn Day—we hope everyone will join in the fun.

Save the Date for Coleman PTO's Trunk or Treat!!

Oasis Tutoring

Do you know someone 50+ who would be interested in helping a child learn to love reading and learning? Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers ages 50+ with children in grades K-3 to work one-on-one each week as their tutors, mentors and friends. They can tutor one child or several, on a one-on-one basis each week throughout the school year.

Anyone interested can sign up today by calling 314-995-9506 or visiting https://st-louis.oasisnet.org/tutoring/. Training will be on October 16 from 9:00-2:00 at Central Office.

Birthday Celebrations

In compliance with our Healthy Generation School goals, Coleman will focus on healthy celebrations. Student birthdays will be recognized on our daily announcements.

To comply with the national health guideline, we do not accept birthday or holiday treats.

*Every student at Coleman Elementary will receive a birthday pencil and card from the office on their birthday.*
