Dear Primary Parents,

We hope this newsletter finds you doing well! Each week during the school year, we send out this newsletter with current reminders, upcoming events, etc. If you ever hear of someone not receiving the newsletter, perhaps we have a wrong email address. Have them reach out to mfullen@lvisd.org to ensure we have correct info.

Meet the Teacher has been set for August 1, 2024! Things to do at Meet the Teacher:

-Enter through Gym side

-Stop by the Gym to get teacher assignment

-Visit classroom, drop off supplies (prepackaged supplies will already be in classroom)

-Bring medications/visit with nurses

-Visit Booths in the Cafeteria: Transportation, Bear Pack, Booster Clubs, Child Nutrition, Girl Scouts/Cub Scouts

-Sign up for PTO

WE ARE OFFERING "PARK AND RIDE" BUS SERVICES FROM GRACE BIBLE CHURCH FOR MEET THE TEACHER. 4-5:30 PM THURSDAY. BUSES WILL RUN PARENTS AND STUDENTS TO THE SCHOOL TO EASE PARKING STRESS!

Our school hours are 7:25-3:40. Our car line opens at 6:45am daily. Student attendance is taken at 9:30 am daily, please keep this in mind when making appointments. A student must be here at 9:30 am to be counted present for the day. A student may only miss 15 school days total for the year (excused or unexcused.)

• All new students' enrollment date is August 5th. Therefore, parents will not receive the Rooms invite until then. (PREK/Kinder and new students, don't panic)
• Parents will not see any classes in Rooms until the teachers publish them. We plan to publish Thursday (only returning students will be able to see on Thursday)
• Parents who had an account last year do not need to sign up again.
• Here are some resources for Rooms that were sent out to parents: Rooms Support page on the website or on our Rooms Newsletter.

School will open at 7 am for parents to walk their children in. Walk ups are only allowed the first day of school. All other mornings, please use either car line for drop off and parents remain in cars.

If your little bear has medication for school, you may bring it with the doctor's orders to Meet the Teacher. If you cannot make Meet the Teacher, please email our nurses and schedule a time to bring the medication prior to the first day. This will help with stress and the first day anxieties to have this taken care of ahead of time.

Also, be sure your little bear has an extra set of clothes in their back pack to change in the event of an accident/spill.
