We are kicking off 2024 right at RRKA! Regular classes are back in full swing, tournament prep and Dan prep are under way, and our weapons, sparring, and demo team programs will be starting up shortly. Be sure to check your email, read our newsletters, and check the whiteboard at the dojang for important info and updates on everything RRKA!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the AKA tournament last weekend! It was a great competition and we are so proud of each of our students for getting out there and doing their best. A special congratulations goes out to our FOUR Grand Champions...way to go!

Registration is underway for the annual Alamo Challenge tournament in March. This is another competition that our school has been participating in for a very long time and a great competitive experience for students. 2024 Alamo Challenge Tournament

Do you own a business or know of a local business that would be interested in sponsoring our tournament? We have a couple of different sponsorship levels available and they all come with some great publicity for your business! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please reach out to our logistics director, Matt Baker, at matt@bakerrealtytx.com.

We are also recruiting volunteers to help with the early stages of planning this year's event. We will need TONS of boots on the ground as the day gets closer, but we currently need help from people willing to commit to the whole process, from now until the tournament itself. These roles include sitting on various planning committees, heading up volunteer recruitment and training, soliciting sponsors, researching lunch options, etc. If you have the time and talent to serve in this capacity, please reach out to our tournament director, Ani Robinson, at girlrobinson7@gmail.com.

Thank you for helping us make this year's Round Rock Karate Invitational even better than last year!

Demo Team will begin Saturday, February 10th and is open to youth and adult students ranked 6th Gup and above. This is a creative team of students dedicated to taking RRKA out into the greater community. The team creates and implements their own martial arts routines and then performs their sets at various events and festivals in and around Round Rock. Demo Team is a unique and exciting program and is always looking for new students to join! Due to the team nature of this program, students must be able to commit to the practice schedule for the full season, which ends in June.

In order to join Demo Team, students will need to attend the Season Intro Class on February 10th from 1:00-2:30pm to practice with the team and get a feel for the program before making a commitment.
