Crossroads Center's Teacher of the Year
Help us congratulate our Crossroads Center nominee for BCPS Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Watkins has consistently demonstrated his interest in doing what is best for our students. He has been available to co-teach, co-plan, and collaborate with faculty members. He has shared ideas with the entire faculty at Professional Learning. Mr. Watkins is always available for his students. Taking time to meet with them, coach them through challenging work, and being able to provide honest and heartfelt remarks and he wishes each student adieu during the Grade 6 Farewell Circle.
January Character Trait is Self-Control
This month our students will be focusing on the character trait of self-control. Through advisory, students will discuss how to manage one's emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in different situations. At the end of the month, a student from each grade level will be selected for consistently exhibiting this character trait.
Check out this online article for how to support your middle school child with self-control.
