Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to Summer Academy 2024, where adventure awaits! We are excited to embark on this journey of learning and fun with each and every one of you. Here are some important details to keep in mind as we kick off our summer sessions:
There is a parent Orientation on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Parker Junior High School.
- The Kinderprep Orientation will be held from 5:30-6:00 p.m.
- The Summer Academy Parent Orientation for grades K-7 will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm
Summer Academy Session Dates:
- Sessions: June 10 - July 18 (Monday - Thursday)
- Time: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
- No School: June 19th and July 4th
Arrival and Dismissal:
During the first week of summer school, please expect some congestion as we welcome all our students. If you are dropping off your child, please enter on School Street and exit on Flossmoor Road. Parking will be limited, but our staff will be available to assist. Look for signs with teachers' names to easily locate your child's teacher.
Important Information:
We encourage all parents to check Skyward regularly for updates on their child's teacher assignment and bus information. Stay informed and connected with Skyward!
Theme Days
Get ready for some exciting theme days to add extra fun to our summer sessions!
- Week 1: June 13 - Beach Day (Wear sunglasses and flip-flops)
- Week 2: June 20 - Sports Day (Wear your favorite team shirt or jersey)
- Week 3: June 27 - Super Hero Day (Dress like your favorite superhero)
- Week 4: July 3 - Disney Day (Wear Disney-themed apparel)
- Week 5: July 11 - Tie Dye Day (Wear your favorite Tie Dyed shirt)
- Week 6: July 18 - School Spirit Day (Dress in your school colors
Safety Notice:
For the safety of all students and staff, we kindly request that parents inform the Summer Academy office in advance if they need to pick up their child early. This can be done by calling the office or sending in a letter with the necessary details.
Please note that anyone picking up a student must present a valid ID before the child is released. This precaution is in place to ensure the safety and security of all our students.
