SAHS "Weekly Update" - 2/3/25
"S.W.A.R.M. Together!"
Principal's Update
Yellow Jacket Community,
Teaching, learning, and the "Total Yellow Jacket Experience" continues every week at SAHS. We always have something to celebrate and something to highlight. The Hive is always buzzing!
Last week was full of events encompassing "Celebrate Literacy Week". We embraced the magic of reading with contests, dress-up days, and engaging activities. From karaoke in the media center to to story chains in the classroom, our Jacket Family showed up in full spirit!
This week kicks off our Black History Month celebration at SAHS. We will have events and activities throughout the month as we honor and celebrate black history in our school, community, and country.
This week is also "Student Services Week" at SAHS. We are lucky to have such an incredible group of counselors, deans, secretaries, paraprofessionals that do whatever it takes to support our students! I encourage everyone to reach out to our student services members to let them know how much you appreciate them!
Finally, our registration process continues for all current SAHS students. We encourage all students to pursue the most rigorous path possible in order to maximize their potential for future career opportunities. As our mission statement says, our entire SAHS community will "S.W.A.R.M. Together" to ensure all students have everything they need to reach their full potential!
Together,
Travis Brown - Principal - St. Augustine High School
