MESSAGE FROM DR. COOPER
The Neihardt staff will soon begin the process of designing class lists for the 2024-25 school year. Our main goal is to provide positive experiences for all students. We strive to create balanced classrooms with regards to personalities, abilities, needs, learning styles, peer relations, and gender balance. Staff work to place students in a learning environment that would best meet their individual needs. Each child is considered individually by members of the following teams: Teachers who currently work within the grade-level, HAL, Special Education, Speech Language Pathologist, Administration, Interventionists, and the School Counselor.
We recognize that you value your child's education and can offer valuable insight about them. If you would like to have input into your child’s placement for next year, please schedule an appointment with me. During this meeting, I will ask for you to share input about your child’s learning style, strengths, and areas of needed improvement. This input will be considered when Neihardt teams make placement decisions. Requests for a specific teacher will not be considered. To make an appointment please email me at trcooper@mpsomaha.org or call 402-715-8360 prior to April 5th. Input will not be considered in the process after April 5th as we begin making placement decisions at that time.
Thank you for your trust and support,
Dr. Tara Cooper

3RD - 5TH GRADE PARENT SURVEY FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
We are committed to providing your child with the best possible educational experiences at the Nebraska Department of Education. As part of our assessment process, students in grades 3-8 take statewide assessments in the content areas of English language arts, mathematics, and science each year. Following the assessments, you receive an individual student report detailing your child’s performance from your child’s school. Your feedback is essential in helping us enhance the information provided in these reports to better support your child’s academic journey. We kindly ask for your insights and suggestions to improve the clarity and usefulness of the reports you receive. Thank you for your time and contributions.
