WASD LEVY--VOTE MAY 21
Supplemental Levy Information
On the ballot, you will find a measure directly impacting the quality of education and safety within our district: the West Ada School District Supplemental Levy. Understanding that this levy isn't a new tax but rather a replacement levy is vital, as it's designed to maintain crucial support for our educational programs.
- Salaries and benefits for 152 Teachers - $12,983,251
- Contracted Services for 19 Student Resource Officers - $867,404
- TOTAL ANNUAL LEVY AMOUNT: $13,850,655/year
FAQ Online Form LINKED HERE
Required Idaho Disclosure: The estimated average annual cost to taxpayers on the proposed levy is $27.13 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions. This proposed levy replaces an existing levy expiring on June 30, 2024, which currently costs $27.43 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value. Therefore, if approved, the proposed levy is expected to decrease the tax per $100,000 of taxable assessed value by $0.30.

FAMILY PICNIC
Our Family Picnic is on Friday, May 24, from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.
You are welcome to come to the school no earlier than 10:50 am to secure your space on the field, set up shade tents, and preorder lunch at one of the food trucks joining us this year. Please note that the field space is the only area available for families to gather.
Students will exit the school building to the field area at 11:30. They can find their families and enjoy time together. At 12:30, we will ask that you begin packing up and out what you brought in. By 12:40, all students not being checked out of school will be asked to line up at the regular location to enter the building. We will also request that families also be ready to vacate the field and head out to enjoy the start of summer break, as we head back into the building to finish out the last day.
It is a FULL day of school on the last day. If you choose to check your student out to take home after the picnic, you will do so on the sign-out sheets provided. This year we will post class lists to the windows so you can go to each teacher list to sign your child(ren) out. You may check them out at any time beginning at 10:50, so you do not have to wait in a long line at the end of the event.
*You may only sign out your child. If another adult is taking your children, the front office must be alerted prior to the event so we can make note. Also, please be sure to have an ID should there be questions from our staff if we are unfamiliar with you.
Again, please note that all staff remains at school until all students are accounted for, so please check your child out before leaving with them. We appreciate having to make extra phone calls or create unnecessary worry for any staff or families.

GOOD THINGS GROW HERE
Congratulations to this group of students who received recognition for being a great example of what it means to be a PVE Pronghorn. These students were caught either modeling a school-wide expectation or showing ownership for their learning. Way to be #PronghornStrong!

Please check the lost and found items. There is so much that has been left behind. Items will be bagged and donated after school on May 24.

HELP!! Returning Clothing to Nurse Office
We are running low on some of our sizes! If you have items that were borrowed from the Health Office, please return those as soon as possible. If your child tends to still have accidents, please make sure you are sending in additional clothing in the backpack.
As you begin spring cleaning, if there are pants you would like to donate, we would gladly accept those items.
Thank you!

Need To Make A Change In How Your Child Gets Home? Checking Out a Student?
Please get in touch with the office before 3:00 for any last-minute changes at the end of the day, so we have plenty of time to communicate with staff members. (If preplanned, please email both the teacher and office.)
If you are coming in at the end of the day to check out a student, please note we will not call students down after 3:45 pm. They are already cleaning up and transitioning for release at the end of the day.
Thank you for being so understanding!
