Empowering Trauma-Informed Schools
Using Restorative Practices
January 17, 2025
Connecting Trauma Informed Practices to Educational Systems through Professional Development
Join us on a trauma-informed journey that creates awareness of the prevalence of trauma, its impacts on individuals, and what we, as an educational community can do to support individuals who have experienced trauma.
Restorative practices are a set of tools that educators can use to help students build community, develop interpersonal skills, and repair harm when conflict occurs. They can also help students understand the impact of their actions and meet their needs to prevent misbehavior. Research shows that restorative practices can improve student outcomes and school climate.
