Dewey's 5Cs - Collaboration
Last week all Dewey students worked on discussing and defining what collaboration looks like, feels like and sounds like. Check out some of the ideas our students came up with.
- Collaboration looks like:
- students working together
- being respectful to each other
- one project - many people working on it
- taking turns so no one is left out
- Collaboration sounds like:
- sharing of ideas
- talking quietly
- being respectful to each other
- Collaboration feels like:
- Being included
- happiness
- calm
Dress Code
Attached is the adopted dress code for your reference. Please make sure your students wear shoes with a back strap. We've had a few recess injuries because of shoes. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Dewey Maker Lab
It’s back! This year, half of the school will come weekly for the first half of the year, then the other half of the school will come weekly the 2nd half of the year. Don’t worry if your child doesn’t start next week- everyone will have equal opportunity to DESIGN, BUILD, and CREATE in the Maker Lab.
The Maker Lab runs on your donations. There is a box for all donations in the office hallway. All cardboard tubes, craft supplies, duct tape, etc. are appreciated. Don’t keep google eyes around your house, but you still want to give? There is an Amazon Wish List: Dewey Maker Lab Wish List
Right now, the Maker Lab is needing your Hex Bugs that are no longer being played with. Give the bugs a second life, give them to the Maker Lab.
