OCEAN High School Student of the Week
Each week the Port Townsend Leader Highlights Students of the Week from Jefferson County High Schools.
Helios Brightheart is the OCEAN student of the week. Helios is a joy to have in class. He never hesitates to speak up whether the teacher is asking for opinions on what the class is reading, some input when the class is having a group discussion, or if it’s to advocate for himself and his needs as a student. He is consistently willing to express himself eloquently, thoughtfully, and authentically. In addition to this awesome participation, he is also kind to his fellow students and his teachers. He is always respectful to others’ learning and his own while in the classroom.
