Quiz Bowls

Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) hosted and facilitated a Quiz Bowl for 6th and 7th grade students of Blanchester Local Schools and East Clinton Local Schools. A Quiz bowl for 8th grade students of the respective districts took place at Wilmington College the following week, facilitated by SOESC.

Celebrating Roy Hill

After years of dedicated service, Roy Hill, a valued member of the SOESC Governing Board, has announced his retirement. Throughout his tenure, Roy has been a guiding force, advocating for student success and educational excellence. His leadership and passion have left a lasting impact on the community, shaping policies and initiatives that have benefited students. As Roy bids farewell to his role, his legacy of commitment and hard work will continue to inspire future generations. SOESC team members and the community express their deepest gratitude for Roy's contributions and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.

SOESC Updates

Office Update

Both the Hillsboro and Wilmington SOESC Offices will close at noon on April 8, 2024.

Email Address Changes

Please note all SOESC email addresses will change May 17, 2024.

Current email addresses for Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) end in @southernohioesc.org which will no longer be used.

Update email addresses will now end in @soesc.org.

All team members with the exception of the State Support Team 14 email addresses will update to @soesc.org after this update.

Please keep in mind to update your contact information as necessary to reflect this change after May 17, 2024.

Hopewell Building Access Updates

All team member's fobs will be deactivated as of April 2, 2024.

Please turn those into Paul Oborne or Chad Walls.

All team member's will only have their newest badge remain active; all others will be removed form the system and deactivated on April 2, 2024.

SOESC Superintendent Search

Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) Governing Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Superintendent. The current Superintendent, Beth Justice, is retiring after 36 years in education, serving seven years in that capacity for the SOESC, effective July 31, 2024.
