Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you well and that you had a restful and joyful winter break. As we return to school, we are excited to welcome back our students, staff, and families for a fresh start to the new year. I hope the winter break was enjoyable for all our Tiger families. My husband and I stayed local and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We can get much better than 60's and 70's during this time of year. I sure do love our Arizona winters.
The second half of the school year brings new opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. Whether it's tackling challenging subjects, participating in extracurricular activities, or preparing for upcoming milestones, we are committed to supporting every student in achieving their goals.
Students return on Tuesday, January 7th - I want to remind you that students will return on Tuesday, January 7th. I hope they enjoy one more day of the break. Our staff will return on Monday, January 6th and have a day to prepare for students returning. We are refreshed and ready to start second semester.
As we return to school, please be reminded of our morning drop off procecures. It is still awfully dark in the morning. Please use caution when dropping off your student.
Student Morning Drop off - Two important items:
1. Please refrain from dropping off your student in the middle of the street along Wigwam Blvd. This is a huge safety concern for our students. Please utilize the drop off loops either in the west student parking lot, the front loop along Wigwam Blvd or down Park Avenue to the baseball parking lot.
2. Westbound traffic on Wigwam Blvd - Please refrain from turning right into the front drop of loop from the outside lane. It is not a turning lane. This is preventing the east bound traffic from turning left into the drop off area. I believe this is what is leading to students being dropped off in the middle of Wigwam Blvd.
These are all safe places and ways to drop off your student. Goodyear PD has been out monitoring and writing citations. We want to ensure all our students arrive safely to school. We appreciate your partnership.
Registering for 25/26 classes: Students will meet with their counselors during their English class.
Current Freshman will be registering for classes January 27 - 31
*Freshman will meet with their counselors during their Freshman Experience class
**Freshman will make their academy selection the week of January 13th
