Mrs. Zepeda's Class:
Miss. Lindsey's Class:
Fall is here! We are going to learn all about pumpkins this month! We will be exploring what a pumpkin looks like inside, and how a pumpkin seed grows. We will be building our science vocabulary this month as well as building words around our theme this month of: Making Friends. We will ask and answer questions like, How do you like to help friends? How are we alike and how are we different? We will be introducing problem solving cards this month and once all the students have a chance to learn and use them, we will be sending sets home. These cards are visual and verbal cues for common issues such as: Sharing, taking turns, playing together, needing a break.
We will continue to learn and practice academic skills and are learning letters, counting objects, and recognizing numbers. We have been learning colors, and are now introducing shapes. Our language book this month will be Go Away Big Green Monster.
Miss Deb, Miss Kelsey and Miss Janene's Class:
Hello Families,
This month we will be learning about how to make friends. Children will learn how to be a good friend and about the fun things friends do together.
We will be tasting apples and pumpkin seeds this month.
PTC will be Oct 10th and 11th, look for sign up sheets coming home soon.
Please check your child's backpack for papers they are bringing home. Backpacks are getting heavy. Please take out unnecessary items. No toys are allowed at school or on the bus.
Thanks,
Miss Deb, Miss Kelsey, & Miss Janene
