Safety & Security Update
Good Afternoon Leadership Prep Families,
As you know violence or threats against educational institutions has increased. We would like to address the seriousness of this matter.
The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community is our highest priority. Recently, there has been growing concern about the implications of making threats, whether in jest or out of frustration. It is important for students to understand that any threat, regardless off intent, will be treated with the utmost seriousness. Not only can such actions lead to severe disciplinary consequences, such as expulsion from Leadership Prep, but they may also result in legal action.
we want to encourage you to speak with your children about the gravity of this issue. Please emphasize that any statement or behavior that could be perceived as a threat—whether made verbally, in writing, or online –carries significant repercussions. Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment, and this requires the cooperation of everyone in our school community.
Should you have any questions or concerns, or if your child has witnessed or heard anything that seems concerning, please do not hesitate to contact us or report it through the Stop It app that is linked on the front page of the LPS website. We are committed to addressing these issues with transparency and care.
As continued partners in your child’s education, we ask you to watch this video with your child that was made by the Frisco Police Department.
