A Message from NEW HANOVER COUNTY SCHOOLS:
As part of the district’s ongoing efforts to provide a safe learning environment for all students, NHCS staff will be using district-approved communication methods to communicate with students. District-approved communication methods are:
- Staff and student assigned email addresses
- Staff and student assigned Google accounts
- Learning management systems SeeSaw, Google Classroom, and Canvas
- And Teacher websites and newsletters
Student cell phones and personal emails will never be used. The methods of communication will not change for parents.
The Technology Department, in collaboration with representatives from schools and the Communications Department, is researching additional communication tools to ensure continued effective and appropriate communication among staff, students and parents.
