FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,
Welcome to the first week of a brand-new semester! We hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready to jump back into school life with fresh energy and enthusiasm.
Looking back at last semester, we’re thrilled with all the growth and achievements of our students and staff. From creative classroom projects to fun school events, it’s been an incredible journey. A special shoutout to our amazing teacher, Ebony, who is up for the Victorian Education Excellence Awards! Her dedication to student learning and wellbeing is truly inspiring.
This semester, we’re continuing to focus on the wellbeing of our students. Our wellbeing team has been hard at work implementing programs that support both mental and physical health. We’re also excited to introduce new initiatives to make sure every student feels heard and valued.
Our academic programs are as vibrant as ever. Many year levels are focusing on place value, real-life problem solving, and poetry, providing a diverse and engaging curriculum for our students. We’ve also made some great updates to our school facilities over the break. Our art room and several classrooms have been freshly painted, giving them a bright and welcoming feel. We’re also excited to unveil a brand new shade structure over our outdoor basketball court, providing much-needed sun protection and enhancing our outdoor play area.
We believe that strong partnerships with parents and the community are key to our students’ success. This semester, we’re hosting Parent Focus Groups to hear your thoughts and feedback. Your involvement helps us to continually improve and meet the needs of our students.
We have a packed calendar of exciting events and programs lined up for this semester. Mark your calendars for the Junior School Production on the 28th of August—it's sure to be a highlight! Stay tuned for updates and details. We encourage all students to participate and make the most of these opportunities.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. Let’s make this semester a fantastic one for all our students!

YEAR 2 GO TO BENDIGO DISCOVERY CENTRE
On Tuesday the 25th of June, Year 2 visited the Bendigo Discovery Centre as we had a science focus for our Inquiry topic that term. We were able to go on the vertical slide (which was so tall!), play with all the exhibits and even got to complete a science experiment. For more photos and videos, check out the video that was put on our Facebook page. We had so much fun!

Preventing the spread of Ilness in School
As the cold weather arrives, so do coughs, colds, stomach bugs and other respiratory illnesses.
It is important that we practice good hygiene, such as washing our hands, hand sanitiser, and using tissues when we cough or sneeze.
If your child is away due to sickness, please update their absence via our Compass App.
Arriving to school on time
Please make it a priority to arrive at school on time.
8.45am - music starts & students make their way to class.
8.55am - Class begins.
If your child/ren arrive to school after 9am they MUST come into the front office to get signed in otherwise our records could show them as absent.
It is extremely important for our school to keep strict attendance records.
When students are punctual, they are more likely to enter the classroom with a clear and open mind, ready to absorb information and engage actively in the day's curriculum.
If you’re picking your student up early
If a parent/guardian needs to pick up their student early from school for an appointment or any other significant reason, please notify your child’s teacher or the front office, with as much notice possible.
Often students are in a specialist program or out of the classroom, so if no notice is given it puts pressure on the office staff when trying to find students whilst answering phones and tending to sick bay.
Please be mindful as we have quite a few students leaving school early which interrupts the classroom as well as their learning time so please avoid this when possible.
PARENT PAYMENT AND STATIONERY FOR 2024
Parent payment can be made via QKR

SCHOOL UNIFORMS
All children are expected to wear full school uniform
