Principal's Message - Mrs. Alfonso
This past week, James Madison School #10 was filled with the joy of reading and creativity as we celebrated Dr. Seuss Week! Our students had the wonderful opportunity to welcome special guest readers who shared their favorite Dr. Seuss stories, bringing the magic of his words to life.
Adding to the excitement, we were thrilled to collaborate with the talented art students from Garfield High School. Together, they worked with our students to create imaginative projects inspired by beloved Dr. Seuss books. From whimsical drawings to colorful crafts, creativity was in full swing!
Dr. Seuss Week was a fantastic celebration of literature, learning, and teamwork. As we reflect on this fun-filled event, we leave our students with these inspiring words from Dr. Seuss himself:
"You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so… get on your way!"

All students were invited to wear a shirt with a positive message on March 3rd! Students in SEL Small Group played Coping Skill Bingo in order to review the importance of using these skills to help cope and stay happy and calm!

Attendance Matters
Important Information
We are working on improving our overall attendance at James Madison School. Please avoid taking vacations during the school year. If you want to travel, plan around the days/weeks we have off. Each day your child is not here, they are losing academic learning. Make-up work is not the same as in school learning. We are looking forward to working together to give every child a great education.
