Julia Morgan Weekly Newsletter

Welcome Back Julia Morgan families. I am excited to say that your amazing staff here at Julia Morgan have been working hard on getting ready for our first day of school. The first day of school will be on Tuesday, July 30th. (A separate message will be sent in our regular Sunday SMORE message starting this Sunday, with specific first day information)

Important changes this year:

-Breakfast will now be served starting at 7:50-8:20 Please do not arrive before 7:50 as there is no supervision during that time. (Breakfast and lunch are free to all students)

-Please make sure all students wear closed toed and heel shoes. Crocs, sandals, and slippers are not allowed.

-Pajamas bottoms and tops are also not allowed to be worn at school.

Aeries Data confirmation and access to class information

Thank you to everyone who has already updated our Aeries data confirmation. In order to receive your child’s teacher you must log into the Aeries portal to update your data. This will give our office the latest emergency contact information and also help the district to continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students. A flier has been attached on how to access Aeries. If you have any questions or need assistance please contact us in the office.

Parking Lot

Please adhere to our drop off and pick up procedures at all times.

1. The green zone is for dropping off or picking up your children

2. There are two green zones you may use- one in the main parking lot and one in the Bus drive through.

3. Please pull into the green zone and move as far forward as you can.

4. DO NOT DOUBLE PARK AT ANY TIME

5. Please do not park in the green zone. Stay with your car at all times

6. If you need to park, please park in the parking lot or on the street and walk to the sidewalk area to pick up your child. (Students are not allowed to walk through the parking lot unattended)

7. When exiting the parking lot, you may make a right hand turn only during school hours. This keeps the traffic flow moving.

Pick up areas.

Kindergarten-Parent will pick up and drop off at the kindergarten gate

1st and 2nd grade-Classes will be lined up on the grass area near the Kindergarten gate

3rd-4th Grade will be lined up near the main gate and flag pole.

5th-6th grade will be lined up near the Mural Wall.

Students attending the YMCA will be directed to the YMCA in the courtyard.

Students and parents walking home are to use the crosswalk to cross A.G. Spanos Blvd.

All students must be picked up within 15 minutes of dismissal

Monday and Friday Rallies (Weather Permitting)

Parents and families are invited every Monday and Friday to our rallies in the courtyard. During our rallies, classes are invited to perform on stage, whole school announcements are made and occasional rewards and incentives are given. Every Friday we hold a dance party beginning at 8:05-8:25. We hope to see you there!
