The Patton Post

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Thursday, May 23rd
We have had a really great week here at Patton! We were all completely blown away by the amazing performance of "Frozen Jr" that our 5th Grade students put on for us this week! They were just spectacular and melted many a frozen heart amongst their audiences. It was "snow" much fun and I really didn't want to "Let it Go!" when it finished!
Huge thanks go to Mr Whitaker, Mrs Anderle, Mrs Cioni and Mrs Goumas for the huge amount of work they put into these shows every year. These shows also couldn't happen without parent volunteers who help build sets, paint faces as well as backdrops, sew costumes, sell tickets and ensure students are on time for all their rehearsals. This is always a wonderful way to end the year as we see our 5th graders off to Thomas Middle School.
Next week will be filled with a lot more fun, Field Day, field trips and Kona Ice!
Please remember, students are not to attend school tomorrow (Friday May 24th) or Monday, May 27th! Enjoy the long weekend and we can't wait to see everyone on Tuesday, May 28th!

We want to take this time to express our deep gratitude to all the many parents, grandparents, and other caregivers who have volunteered their time and energy to support Patton School. You help make Patton the amazing community that it is, and it wouldn’t be the same without all of your effort, and the thoughtfulness and care you bring to all that you do. We thank you for helping make Patton a safe place from drop-off to pick-up in all kinds of weather. We thank you for volunteering in the LMC, in classrooms, with special projects, class parties, field trips, sharing about your careers, grade level events such as the 5th grade musical, field day, contributing and giving your time, your expertise, your generous donations to support and appreciate the staff, your generous contributions to varied service projects, volunteering for PTA events, the list goes on and on. ABC/25 FOUNDATION FUN FAIR - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! (2nd POST!)
Do you want to kick off your summer in style and create a core family memory by representing Patton at the ABC/25 sponsored Fun Fair on Saturday, June 1st? We are looking for a couple of volunteers to help put the FUN in fun fair! We are in need of someone brave and with a sense of humor to go in the dunk tank for around 15minutes. If you like water and dropping from a small height depending on the whim/aiming ability of a child, this is the opportunity for you!! If you are more athletically inclined, how about truly testing yourself by taking part in the Mascot Race dressed up as our very own "Paws the Panther"? You will forever have bragging rights because, really, who else amongst us will ever be able to say that they have a "personal best" time racing as a giant blue Panther?
If you are at all interested in showing up for us at this event please email Mrs Dunning and let her know which role you would prefer to help us out with! We would be forever grateful!
