What's Happening at Bell
To the Wonderful Bell Community
On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the delicious and thoughtful lunch provided for us on January 8th.
Your generosity and support mean the world to us. The meal was a wonderful treat and a much-needed boost during a busy time of year. It was a true demonstration of the strong and supportive community that surrounds our school.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a caring and involved community. Thank you again for your kindness and for making us feel so appreciated.

Career planning in middle school helps students explore interests and skills, introducing them to various professions. It is never too early to start planning and dreaming of the future.
7th grade students: On January 14th, students will participate in activities focusing on career surveys and post-secondary workforce readiness skills with their counselor.
8th grade students: On January 9th and 10th, 8th grade students will participate in activities focusing on career surveys and post-secondary workforce readiness skills with their counselor.
6th grade students will begin work on their ICAP through their Humanities and Stem wheel electives in the coming months.

Upcoming CAREER FAIR Volunteers
You're invited to share your profession!
On February 25, 2025 7th grade students will attend a career fair at Evergreen Middle School. This is Bell’s 2nd year participating, and we’d REALLY like to bring a Golden faction of professionals to represent our mountain region and grow this event this year.
So, we would like to invite parents, or other important adults in our students' lives, to consider showcasing their career or company at the event. We NEED you! ALL professions are welcome! Ones that require a college degree AND ones that do not! We need professionals in engineering, construction, technical, medical, safety, law, sales, finance, management, restaurant, hospitality and all the other careers we haven’t mentioned. Maybe you have just joined your field, maybe you just retired from that field. Please consider joining us for the day. If interested, please contact 7th grade Counselor, Kathy Cochran at Kathy.Cochran@jeffco.k12.co.us
Bell Accountability Team (BAT) Meeting Rescheduled to Jan. 27
A primary purpose for school accountability teams is to review school budgets. In previous years, principals received their budget for the following year immediately upon returning to work for second semester. This year, that was pushed back to better align with the enrollment windows. As a result, principals just received their budgets on Jan. 10 (today). As a result, the BAT meeting has been rescheduled from January 13 to January 27, following the PTA meeting, to give Principal DeAndrea time to review the budget and prepare for a more meaningful budget conversation with the BAT. We will send out a link to that meeting on January 26.
