A Hays Story
"We were actually set on Frisco schools about 15 years ago when we considered moving. Something didn't work out with our house build and we ended up in McKinney zoned for Prosper ISD. We did research the district and loved what we found. Both our kids started with Prosper ISD. First Hughes then Furr and finally Hays. ... Explore everything Hays has to offer from classes to extracurriculars. The counselors have really been engaging the students and helping with stress and anxiety. This has made a tremendous difference for my daughter this year."

School Health Screenings
The Texas Legislature has mandated that children who meet certain grade criteria be screened for specific health problems. These screenings will take place at Hays Middle School during the school day on November 12, 2024 (Vision and Hearing Screening). If applicable, please be sure that your child wears their glasses on this day. If we are unable to fit all screenings in one day they may be completed on another day. The required screenings are broken down by grade level as follows:
- All 7th grade: hearing, vision and risk assessment for Type 2 Diabetes
- All new-to-district students in 6th & 8th grade: hearing & vision
For more information on the required screenings please visit https://www.dshs.texas.gov/schoolhealth/tgshs-services/

CTE Parent Survey
One of the primary goals of the CTE leadership council is to gather feedback from all CTE stakeholders and make informed decisions about what needs to be changed within the classrooms and the best way we do this is through the advisory committee. This year we are using this survey as the first advisory meeting with the hope that the parents and students will complete these forms and give us honest and useful feedback that will be used to make informed decisions about the future. Golf Cart Raffle
Prosper ISD Graduation Celebration is a long standing tradition for graduating Seniors in our district. This event is completely self-supporting as no funds come from the school district budget. It is only through the generosity of parents, townspeople, and sponsorships from local businesses and organizations that we are able to host this Celebration. We are expecting over 900 Seniors to attend this year! All monetary donations will be used to provide the entertainment, food, and door prizes for our seniors to help them enter the next phase of their lives.
If you would like to support this event, we are currently selling raffle tickets to give away a Golf Cart! Tickets are $50 and the drawing will be held on November 15th. To purchase a raffle ticket click HERE.
